Governance
INSOL International is incorporated in the
United Kingdom as a Company limited by Guarantee. It has permission
from the Registrar of Companies not to include the word "limited"
in its title. The directors of the Company are also the members
of the Board.
INSOL is governed by its by-laws. Its affairs
are administered by the Board of Directors. The largest nine
fully paid up Member Associations have a right to a seat on
the Board. Two seats will be available for representatives
of the smaller Member Associations.In addition the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Executive Director, who collectively constitute the Executive Committee, are appointed by the Board thus resulting in a total of 14 Board members.
Members of the Board serve a three year
term and the Board meets twice a year.
The President and Vice President serve a
two year term as such and manage the affairs of the Federation
between Board meetings.
