Chairmen’s Welcome - INSOL 2005

INSOL 2005 took place in March 2005 and we were delighted to welcome 800 delegates to the Congress. The weather was extremely kind and the sun shone down on us at the Welcome Reception at the Overseas Passenger Terminal overlooking the Sydney Opera House, where most people crammed out on to the balcony for the magnificent view. The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre was a fantastic venue and delegates enjoyed walking round the harbour to the site. The Technical Programme was a mixture of soft skills and technical subjects and from the feedback we have received the majority of delegates have been extremely complimentary . We ended the Congress with a farewell dinner with some fantastic entertainment from some traditional aborigine dancers.
