Ms. Liv Machado
With ten years of experience in the restructuring and judicial reorganisation area, Tozzini Freire’s senior associate Liv Machado assists local and foreign clients in credit restructuring in judicial reorganization cases, as well as in out-of-court and insolvency proceedings. She also assists investors in the acquisition of distressed assets and companies in financial distress.
She is a graduate of the Law School of PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo); holds a specialised degree in Corporate Law from PUC-SP; an LL.M. degree from PUC-SP; and also attended the INSOL International’s Global Insolvency Practice Course.
Liv is a member of the Latin America Committee of INSOL; vice-president of the Bankruptcy Committee of IASP (Institute of Lawyers of São Paulo); member of the Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganization Committee of OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) in São Paulo; member of the Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganization Committee of OAB of IBRADEMP (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Law); and professor of Judicial Reorganization in IBMEC.
