Mrs. Christel Dumont
A French national, Christel is a lawyer specialised in restructuring and insolvency matters and in real estate, admitted to the Luxembourg bar since 1994. Christel regularly assists a broad range of domestic and international clients in relation to corporate and debt restructurings, pre-insolvency issues, directors’ liability, bankruptcy proceedings, and complex cross-border insolvencies. Christel has advised equity investors, secured lenders, bondholders and unsecured creditors as well as directors in relation to a number of cross-border restructurings, including listed Euro bonds and major real estate groups. Christel provides assistance with exits including voluntary liquidations. She has a sound expertise in European insolvency law and de-structuring operations. She provides specific assistance on COMI issues, on the EU Regulation 2015/848 on cross-border insolvency cases, and the law governing the avoidance of transactions. Christel is a member of INSOL EUROPE. She is also the Luxembourg correspondent of the INSOL Europe EIR case register. Christel is currently senior counsel at law firm Dentons.
