Ferdinand is a Partner with De Brauw, an international law firm based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He specialises in international debt restructuring, corporate recovery and preventive measures, always in a cross-border setting.

Ferdinand has a strong track record in out-of-court restructuring through parallel proceedings in joint teams with foreign counsel. He was appointed by the Dutch court to opine on the first WHOA (Dutch debt restructuring scheme) in which the negotiated US Chapter 11 plan was submitted as the WHOA plan. The plan was confirmed and the restructuring was successful. 

Ferdinand regularly advises both debtors and creditors, including US-based fund creditors, on the corporate, corporate governance, fiduciary duties and liability considerations affiliated with certain transactions and scenario planning. 

Ferdinand is recognized as a Fellow of INSOL International, a member of INSOLAD and a sought-after speaker on restructuring, international recognition and corporate recovery.
