Ivo-Meinert Willrodt has been Managing Partner of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH since 2018 and branch manager of various offices in Bavaria (including Munich, Regensburg, Hallbergmoos). He is an attorney and specialist attorney for insolvency law. He studied law in Constance, Amiens (France) and Munich. He also studied business administration in Switzerland and holds an Executive MBA degree from the University of St. Gallen.

His practice focuses on the restructuring and continuation of companies in self-administration and regular insolvency proceedings. In addition, Mr. Willrodt advises on the basis of many years of experience in restructuring mandates and is available as a restructuring managing director (CRO). As a restructuring expert, he has been working for PLUTA for more than 20 years and has already handled more than 500 corporate insolvencies with up to 600 employees. He is regularly appointed as insolvency administrator by various German courts.

After successfully completing the INSOL Global Insolvency Practice Course Class 2013, Ivo-Meinert Willrodt is a Fellow INSOL International. He also coordinates PLUTA activities in the international network BTG Global Advisory. Mr. Willrodt is a member of INSOL International, INSOL Europe and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). He regularly participates in international insolvency and restructuring conferences as a speaker and is a consultant to the World Bank.

In addition to his nationwide administrative and consulting activities, Mr. Willrodt regularly attends seminars (European insolvency law) as a speaker for the Working Group on Insolvency Law and Restructuring within the DAV. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Advisory Board of the European Group of the Insolvency Law & Restructuring Working Group. In addition, since 2018 he has been involved in the European umbrella organization of European Insolvency Practitioners in Brussels (EIP). He has been President of this umbrella organization since 2020.

Furthermore, attorney Ivo-Willrodt publishes in international journals. He is a member of the DAV (German Insolvency Association) and the VID (Professional Association of Insolvency Administrators in Germany), among others, and is a sought-after speaker on topics such as StaRuG, European insolvency law, directors' liability and the effects of Brexit.

Ivo-Meinert Willrodt has in-depth knowledge of a wide range of industries. His industry focus is on automotive, construction, finance (issuing houses, grey capital market and equity capital market), mechanical engineering, trade fair construction, retail and fashion, manufacturing and telecommunications.

Due to his several years of previous work as director of a listed (mid-cap DAX) investment company in Germany and as CRO of the German-Austrian BEA Elektrotechnik und Automation Technische Dienste Lausitz GmbH (energy industry € 90 million sales) and the American chemical company SKW QUAB Chemicals Inc. (€25 million sales), Mr. Willrodt also has extensive business restructuring know-how.
