Bio

As a senior lawyer, insolvency practitioner, judge (in present retired), I have gained a significant experience in commercial and insolvency law, company crisis, restructuring, private international law, as well as relevant litigation.

After graduating in Law from Bucharest University, early in my career, I have been admitted to practice law in Romania. In 1996, I started law activity working especially in commercial law. In 2004 I started my career as a judge, working in different fields of law, until 2011, when I began specialisation in international insolvency law and intellectual property law at Ilfov Tribunal and Bucharest Tribunal, Romania. After my retirement as a judge in 2022, I have started in 2023 the activity as an insolvency practitioner at National Union of Insolvency Practitioners in Romania, Bucharest, and as a lawyer at Bucharest Bar Association.

I finished PhD at Titu Maiorescu University, Bucharest, Romania, 2020, summa cum laude, commercial law, with research theme Cooperation, communication and coordination in cross-border insolvency of the group of companies”. I completed the Global Insolvency Practice Course of INSOL International in 2017-2018. I am author of various publications and articles in corporate and insolvency law.

Starting 2013 I have become involved in collaboration and research activity in different international programs and projects, organised by INSOL International World Bank, UNCITRAL, INSOL Europe, European Union Intellectual Property Office, Cork University. I am member of International Insolvency Institute, Fellow INSOL International, INSOL Europe, CERIL, INSOL ERA, member INSOL Europe’s Legal Tech & Digital Assets Wing. Between 2013 – 2023 I took part in more than 45 international training programs for different areas of law, especially European law, insolvency, and intellectual property law.
