Asosiasi Kurator dan Pengurus Indonesia (AKPI)

Asosiasi Kurator dan Pengurus Indonesia (AKPI), or the Indonesian Receivers and Administrators Association, was established in Jakarta on August 5, 1998, with the intention of developing a forum that can represent the profession of receivers and administrators in Indonesia. It delineates AKPI as the first and largest organisation in Indonesia to represent the profession. Over and above, AKPI is the official body authorised by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia to organise professional education and accreditation of receivers and administrators in Indonesia.

AKPI has set for itself the goals of preserving the high quality and trustworthy nature of the services it provides to the community; promoting the dignity, honour, and integrity of the profession; providing a forum for the profession's communication, consultation, and coordination; and making a concerted effort that could elevate the profession.

Hence, in view of the above-mentioned goals and roles, the establishment and presence of AKPI for the profession of receivers and administrators could lead to more accountable, transparent, effective, and efficient bankruptcy and suspension of debt payment obligations proceedings in Indonesia.

MEMBERSHIP

AKPI has around 1200 members as of the present, all of whom possess professional qualifications as lawyers and accountants.
