INSOL International provides educational and networking opportunities in the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) economies.

Brazil - INSOL International established a Latin American Committee in 2007 and since 2008 has held an annual seminar in Latin America. In 2009, the seminar was held in Rio de Janeiro and in 2013 and 2017 in Sao Paulo, with the last one in 2023 happening in Rio de Janeiro again.

Russia - In December 2009, the President of INSOL International attended a meeting in Moscow to meet with senior officials of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development (MED) and the National Association of Union of Self- Regulating Association of Insolvency Administrators to finalise the agenda and details of a roundtable on the investigating powers and responsibilities of insolvency administrators. The meeting was held on the initiative of European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) which invite INSOL International and INSOL Europe to work with MED and EBRD on the roundtable.

The roundtable was held in Moscow in early February 2010.

India - INSOL International, through its member associations in India - INSOL India and the Society of Insolvency Practitioners of India - aims to grow the membership of the profession through the associations. INSOL International held a one-day seminar in Delhi in 2010, 2016 and 2019. In February 2021 we held a virtual India seminar in association with INSOL India.

People's Republic of China - INSOL International has held seminars in Beijing and Shanghai since 2014. These popular and successful seminars are for practitioners based in mainland China and Hong Kong, providing the opportunity to share cross-border and local experiences.

2019 saw the eighth seminar held in Beijing and the sixth in Shanghai. In 2020 we held a virtual PRC seminar, and are planning another virtual event for 2021.
