Geroudis Glover Ghurburrun
Shankhnad Ghurburrun is a practicing barrister in Mauritius since 1995 and a partner at Geroudis Glover Ghurburrun Chambers. He comes from a background of corporate and commercial litigation, and has for the last five years focused his practice on commercial fraud and asset recovery. Insolvency has been part of his practice of asset recovery and has slowly turned into a considerable part of the legal practice independently. The general advisory work to corporate management remains with more and more restructuring and strategic planning in these times of economic scarcity. Whilst in practice, Sanjeev has also been a director in a public company in Mauritius, the State Investment Corporation (1997 to 2000), and commercial representative of the Zanzibar Islands to Mauritius (1996 to 1998). He is presently a member of the ICC Fraudnet network of professionals who assist victims of fraud in their intiatives of asset recovery and tracing of stolen assets. Mr. Ghurburrun has an LLB (law with Business) from the University of Birmingham, and was called to the Bar in Mauritius. The Geroudis Glover Ghurburrun Chambers itself comprises of 14 barristers, including two partners, and set up and existing since 1958.
