David is a Partner at Brown Rudnick LLP and a Fellow of INSOL International. David specialises in complex financial litigation and cross-border matters, and he represents foreign liquidators, official and ad hoc committees of creditors and interested parties in some of the world’s most significant financial fraud and mass tort related cases. David’s recent, notable cross-border engagements include Madoff (representing the BVI Liquidators of the Fairfield Funds, the biggest Madoff feeder fund), the Takata bankruptcy (representing the US DOJ Special Master and Bankruptcy Victims’ Fund Trustee) and the Mt. Gox Bitcoin exchange bankruptcy (representing the Trustee of the Japanese proceeding in the US Chapter 15).
After graduating from law school, David clerked for the Honorable J. Edward Lumbard of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Earlier in his career, David served as a prosecutor for the NY County District Attorney, where he worked with the DOJ’s Organised Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force prosecuting narcotics conspiracies and locating, seizing and effectuating the forfeiture of assets connected thereto.
