Daniel Saval is an insolvency and debtor-creditor disputes lawyer in the New York office of Kobre & Kim LLP, an international firm focused exclusively on disputes and investigations.
He specialises in complex disputes related to corporate restructuring, insolvency and asset recovery matters. Mr. Saval has extensive experience in Chapter 11, Chapter 15 and creditors’ rights proceedings, litigating on behalf of clients in the transportation, energy, financial, gaming, manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications sectors. He regularly works on behalf of stakeholders including debtors, lenders, bond and equity holders, official and ad hoc creditor committees, and foreign insolvency representatives.
Notably, Mr. Saval represented the Japanese bankruptcy trustee of Mt. Gox, once the world’s largest bitcoin exchange, in connection with Mt. Gox’s US Chapter 15 bankruptcy case and related US disputes.
He also advises funds on investment strategies in restructuring, liquidation and litigation situations.
