Mr. Curtis C Mechling
Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP
I am a partner in the New York office of the law firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. For over twenty years, my practice has focused on complex litigation relating to the insolvency of large business enterprises, both in and outside formal bankruptcy proceedings. I have represented debtors, creditors' committees, individual creditors and corporate officers and directors in matters related to a number of major bankruptcy cases, including Adelphia Communications, Beloit, Commodore Computers, Delta Air Lines, Enron, Harnischfeger Industries, Semi-Tech, Solutia, and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Many of my representations have involved cross-border insolvency issues. I am a graduate of Columbia College and Columbia Law School, where I was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. I am married, have two daughters and live in Brooklyn, New York.
